SUMMARY 2019
The end of 2019 = almost 7 years of
retirement from working life. We were still having the best times of our lives,
cherishing the company of one another. Our chosen caravan travelling lifestyle
providing a positive well-being for our souls and bodies.
We had a travel plan at the beginning
of the year like other years. 2019 we had decided to spend time between
Katherine and Darwin in the Northern Territory. With that decision made we then
debated several different route options. The easiest, most direct route was to
travel north from our home base. We opted to initially travel east for about
1,500 kilometres to visit our son and family for an enjoyable family fix time.
Our next stop was about 3,000 kilometres north, inland from Cairns where we
caught up with another couple whom we met 2016 and also partook in a caravan
rally whilst there. From there we had planned to travel about 3,500 kilometres
west to our planned destination in the Northern Territory. We found ourselves
captivated by the scenery of the north easterly region of Queensland nearby
Cairns. So much so we spent almost 4 months in this region, not making it to
our planned destination of Northern Territory.
Have a travel plan with a caravan in
tow, subject to change! Wow, what a change.
